Yoon, who lives in an apartment in Unjeong New Town, Paju, Gyeonggi Province, wasted three hours every day on the road until last year when he went to work.
Kim Ji-won, an office worker who toured apartment complexes near Unjeong Central Station and KINTEX Station on GTX-A on the 11th, said, "I'm looking for a honeymoon house ahead of my marriage in June, and I've heard that it's worth commuting to and from Seoul if I take GTX," adding, "I'm going to seriously discuss with my prospective husband because the rental price of Unjeong is about half of the new construction outside Seoul."
Currently, if the line that connects only to Seoul Station opens in all sections in 2028 and leads to Samsung Station, the demand for visiting Unjeong New Town is expected to increase.

파주~서울역 22분... “GTX 뚫린 후 삶의 질이 달라졌다”
경기도 파주 운정신도시의 한 아파트에 사는 윤모씨는 작년까지 출근하는 날이면 매일 3시간을 길 위에서 허비했다.
지난 11일 GTX-A를 타고 운정중앙역과 킨텍스역 근처 아파트 단지를 둘러봤다는 직장인 김지원씨는 "6월 결혼을 앞두고 신혼집을 찾고 있는데, GTX를 타면 서울 출퇴근도 할 만하다는 얘기를 들었다"며 "운정 전셋값이 서울 외곽 신축의 절반 정도라고 해 예비 남편과 진지하게 상의할 생각"이라고 했다.
현재 서울역까지만 연결되는 노선이 2028년 전 구간 개통돼 삼성역으로 이어지면 운정신도시를 찾는 수요는 지금보다도 늘어날 전망이다.
요금은 카드로 결제시 한화 4450원이며 (운정중앙역에서 서울역까지 편도) 소요 시간은 21분으로 4정거장.
