빠꾸, 노빠꾸

"빠꾸 Pakku" started as the Korean pronunciation of the Japanese pronunciation of 'Back (バック)'.

However, In addition to the meaning of 'back', 'backward', it also means not keeping a promise, quitting what you were doing, and moving a car backward.'

However,

Taking this a step further, the expression '노빠꾸 No-Ppakku' has also been used recently. It is the word 'No' added to the front of "빠꾸 Pakku".

"노빠꾸 No-Ppakku" means 

Do not go back.

Continue to move forward straight.

Do it stubbornly.

Continue to push forward your own claims.

Continue to insist on what you say, and continue to push forward while insisting.

It is an expression that is used in expanded meanings such as this.

When someone only does what they say despite sincere advice from those around them, "노빠꾸 No-Ppakku" is used. 

For example, even if the weather is cold today and it may snow in the afternoon,

Mother could suggest wearing a thick jacket and boots fo going to school. but her kid have his (her) own fashion style and insist on wearing clothes and shoes that reflect your own individuality,

"빠꾸"는 Back의 일본어식 발음을 (バック) 한글발음으로 한 것으로 시작되었다.

그런데, 

'뒤로', '뒤' 의 의미에다 약속을 지키지 않다. 하던 일을 그만두다, 자동차 후진 등의 의미도 있다.'

그런데,

여기서 한걸음 더 나아가, 최근엔 '노빠꾸' 라는 표현도 많이 쓴다.

"빠꾸" 앞에 No를 붙인 것이다.

뒤로는 가지 않는다. 

앞으로 계속 직진한다.

고집스럽게 한다.

자신의 주장을 계속 앞으로 밀고 나간다.

자신이 말한 것을 계속 고집하며, 앞으로 계속 주장하면서 밀고 나간다.

등의 의미로 확장되어 사용되는 표현이다.

주변에서 진심어린 충고를 해줘도 자신의 주장대로만 하는 경우 '노빠꾸'를 사용한다.

예를 들어, 오늘 날씨가 춥고 오후에 눈이 올 수 있으나, 

두꺼운 잠바를 입고, 부츠를 신고 학교에 가라.라고 해도

자신의 패션 스타일 있다면서, 자신만의 개성을 살린 옷과 신발만 고집하면,

패션에 있어서는 "진짜 '노빠꾸'이네". 라고 할 수 있다.
